A Storm of Light is an American heavy metal band from New York City, formed in 2008. Their music blends elements of post-metal, doom metal, and sludge metal. The band has released several albums, including "And We Wept the Black Ocean Within" (2008), "Forgive Us Our Trespasses" (2009), "As the Valley of Death Becomes Us, Our Silver Memories Fade" (2011), and "Nations to Flames" (2013). In 2013, they collaborated with Soundgarden's Kim Thayil on the album "Nations to Flames". Since 2018, the band has been inactive, with their website stating "Indefinite Hiatus or Peace Out?
