Abacus is a German progressive rock band formed in 1971 in Hamm. They achieved a breakthrough at the 1972 Germersheim Rock Festival, performing before over 100,000 fans alongside bands like Pink Floyd and Status Quo. In the 1970s, they released four albums, with the last three recorded at Musicland Studios in Munich. After disbanding in 1976, they reunited in 1979 and signed with EMI in Cologne in 1982. In 2021, marking their 50th anniversary, they released the concept album "Highland Warrior" about Scottish King Robert I. The products available from the artist Abacus include CDs.
