Achim Seifert is a German-Turkish bassist and composer born in 1985 in Germany. After studying at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hannover and the Berklee College of Music in Boston, he founded the Achim Seifert Project. The group has released four albums: "Plans to Wake Up on the Beach" (2010), "...Noticed My Heart" (2015), "Versus" (2018), and "Dünyalar" (2023). Their music blends jazz with Turkish musical influences. In 2010, they won the national "Future Sounds" competition at the Leverkusener Jazztage. In 2016, Seifert was nominated for the ECHO JAZZ award in the "Best National Bassist" category. He has collaborated with artists such as Trilok Gurtu, Udo Lindenberg, and Max Mutzke.
