Adam and the Ants were an English rock band formed in London in 1977. The original lineup included Adam Ant (vocals), Andy Warren (bass guitar), Paul Flanagan (drums), and Lester Square (guitar). The band was known for transitioning from punk rock to post-punk and new wave. Their debut album, "Dirk Wears White Sox," was released in 1979. Subsequent albums "Kings of the Wild Frontier" (1980) and "Prince Charming" (1981) achieved commercial success, with "Kings of the Wild Frontier" winning the Brit Award for Best British Album in 1982.
