Aida-Carmen Soanea is a Romanian violist who won first prize at the Bucchi Viola Competition in Rome in 2005. She studied at the Freiburg University of Music and the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin under Kim Kashkashian. As a soloist, she has performed at festivals such as the Internationale Osterfestspiele Luzern and the Rheingau Musikfestival. She was a founding member of the delian:quartet and has collaborated with artists like Tabea Zimmermann and Renaud Capuçon. Her discography includes albums such as "Works for Viola & Piano" and "Viola [Un]plugged".
