Albert Ammons was an American pianist known for his contributions to the boogie-woogie style. In the 1930s and 1940s, he recorded tracks like "Boogie Woogie Stomp" and "Swanee River Boogie." He collaborated with Meade Lux Lewis and Pete Johnson, performing at the "From Spirituals to Swing" concert at Carnegie Hall in 1938. Ammons also played at President Harry S. Truman's inauguration in 1949.
