Alex G, born Alexander Giannascoli, is an American musician and singer-songwriter from Havertown, Pennsylvania. He began his music career in 2010 by releasing albums on Bandcamp. In 2014, he gained recognition with the album "DSU" released under the Orchid Tapes label. Subsequently, he signed with Domino Recording Company and released "Beach Music" (2015), "Rocket" (2017), and "House of Sugar" (2019). His music is known for its lo-fi sound and experimental approach to indie rock and pop. In 2022, he composed the score for the film "We're All Going to the World's Fair".
