Alice in Chains is an American rock band from Seattle, Washington, formed in 1987. The original lineup consisted of Jerry Cantrell (guitar/vocals), Sean Kinney (drums), Layne Staley (vocals), and Mike Starr (bass). The current lineup includes Cantrell, Kinney, William Duvall (vocals/guitar), and Mike Inez (bass). The band has released six studio albums; their 1990 debut, "Facelift," featured the hit "Man in the Box" and was certified triple-platinum. Their second album, "Dirt" (1992), achieved five-times platinum status. Alice in Chains has sold over 40 million records worldwide and received 11 Grammy Award nominations.
