The Allman Brothers Band was an American rock group formed in 1969 in Jacksonville, Florida. The original lineup included Duane Allman (guitar), Gregg Allman (keyboards, vocals), Dickey Betts (guitar), Berry Oakley (bass guitar), Butch Trucks (drums), and Jai Johanny "Jaimoe" Johanson (drums). The band blended elements of blues, jazz, and country, contributing to the development of the Southern rock genre. Notable albums include "At Fillmore East" (1971). They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1995 and received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2012. The band disbanded in 2014.
