Alphaville is a German synth-pop band formed in Münster in 1982. The original lineup consisted of Marian Gold, Bernhard Lloyd, and Frank Mertens. Their 1984 debut album "Forever Young" includes hits like "Big in Japan," "Sounds Like a Melody," and "Forever Young." Subsequent albums include "Afternoons in Utopia" (1986) and "The Breathtaking Blue" (1989). The band has collaborated with various artists and released a symphonic album, "Eternally Yours," in 2022.
