Ancient Bards is an Italian symphonic power metal band formed in 2006 by keyboardist Daniele Mazza. Their debut album, "The Alliance of the Kings," released in 2010, marked the beginning of "The Black Crystal Sword Saga." This was followed by "Soulless Child" (2011), "A New Dawn Ending" (2014), and "Origine - The Black Crystal Sword Saga Part 2" (2019). In 2025, they released their fifth album, "Artifex." Their music is characterized by epic orchestral arrangements and strong melodic lines. The band has collaborated with artists such as Francesco Cavalieri (Wind Rose) and Mark Jansen (Epica).
