Andrey Baranov is a Russian violinist who gained international recognition after winning the Queen Elisabeth International Violin Competition in 2012. He studied at the St. Petersburg Conservatory and the Lausanne Conservatory. Baranov has performed with prominent orchestras such as the London Philharmonic Orchestra and the Mariinsky Theatre. Notable recordings include "The Golden Violin" (2018) and "Bach, Paganini & Ysaÿe: Solo, Vol. 1" (2020). His repertoire spans from Baroque to contemporary music. Baranov plays on a 1708 Stradivari violin, loaned to him by the Stradivari Foundation.
