Anjimile Chithambo, known as Anjimile, is an American folk singer-songwriter from Boston, Massachusetts. Born in 1993 in Dallas, they began playing guitar at age 11 and sang in choirs from the fifth grade. While studying at Northeastern University in Boston, Anjimile started writing songs and performing locally. In 2020, they released their debut album "Giver Taker" under Father/Daughter Records, which received critical acclaim. This was followed by "The King" in 2023 under 4AD, exploring the experiences of being a Black trans person in America. Anjimile's music blends elements of indie pop, folk, and alternative rock.
