Anthony Stanco is a trumpeter and composer from Southeast Michigan. He grew up in Detroit, studying under Marcus Belgrave and Rodney Whitaker. During his studies at the Manhattan School of Music and Michigan State University, he won the International Trumpet Guild's 2013 Jazz Improvisation Competition. He leads the quintet The Crucial Elements, which has represented the USA in the American Music Abroad program in over twelve countries. In 2024, he released the album "Stanco's Time" featuring guitarist Randy Napoleon, pianist Xavier Davis, bassist Rodney Whitaker, and drummer Joe Farnsworth.
