Asphyxia was a thrash metal band from Verviers, Liège, Belgium, formed in 1987. They released three demos and one full-length album titled 'Exit: Reality'. Asphyxia was the first band to feature Christian Olde Wolbers, who later became known for his work with Vio-Lence and Fear Factory. The album 'Exit: Reality' was produced by André Gielen and featured cover artwork by Eric Philippe. The band disbanded in 1993.
