Astrid Williamson is a Scottish musician, composer, and singer who grew up in the Shetland Islands. She studied at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, training as a pianist. In the 1990s, she formed the band Goya Dress, releasing the album "Rooms" produced by John Cale. After the band's dissolution in 1998, she pursued a solo career, releasing several albums including "Boy For You" (1998), "Day of the Lone Wolf" (2006), and "Pulse" (2011).
