Bastian Stein is a German jazz trumpeter born in 1983 in Heidelberg. He studied trumpet at the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Vienna and at the Amsterdamse Hogeschool voor de Kunsten in Amsterdam, where he earned a Master of Arts degree. In 2010, he released his debut album "Grounded" under the German label Double Moon Records. This was followed by "Diegesis" in 2013 and "Viktor" in 2016 under Pirouet Records. Stein has collaborated with musicians such as Pablo Held, Matthias Pichler, and Tobias Backhaus. Since 2016, he has been teaching jazz trumpet at the Musikhochschule Stuttgart in Germany.
