Benny Golson was an American jazz tenor saxophonist, composer, and arranger, known for his contributions to the hard bop genre. He collaborated with artists such as John Coltrane, Dizzy Gillespie, and Art Blakey. His notable compositions include "I Remember Clifford," "Blues March," and "Whisper Not." In 1959, he co-founded The Jazztet with trumpeter Art Farmer. Throughout his career, Golson released several albums, including "The Modern Touch" and "Killer Joe."
