Black Box Recorder was an English indie rock band comprising Sarah Nixey, Luke Haines, and John Moore. They debuted in 1998 with the album "England Made Me", followed by "The Facts of Life" in 2000, which featured their biggest hit, "The Facts of Life". Their third album, "Passionoia", was released in 2003. Their music blended indie pop, indie rock, and synth-pop, often characterized by dark and satirical lyrics.
