Black Eyes was a post-hardcore band from Washington, D.C., active from August 2001 to March 2004. The group consisted of Dan Caldas, Daniel Martin-McCormick, Hugh McElroy, Jacob Long, and Mike Kanin. They released two albums under Dischord Records: "Black Eyes" (2003) and "Cough" (2004). Their music blended post-punk with experimental and dub influences. In 2022, the band reunited and released the album "Hostile Design" in 2023. Their live performances were known for intense energy and innovative use of two drummers and two bassists.
