Blood Red Shoes is an English alternative rock duo from Brighton, consisting of Laura-Mary Carter and Steven Ansell. The band formed in 2004 after the dissolution of their previous groups. They have released six studio albums, including 'Box of Secrets' (2008) and 'Fire Like This' (2010). Their music blends elements of alternative rock, indie rock, and noise pop. In 2014, they founded their own label, Jazz Life. The 2019 album 'Get Tragic' was recorded in Los Angeles and produced by Nick Launay. In 2022, they released the album 'Ghosts on Tape'.
