Blur is an English rock band formed in London in 1988. The members are vocalist and keyboardist Damon Albarn, guitarist Graham Coxon, bassist Alex James, and drummer Dave Rowntree. Their debut album, "Leisure" (1991), incorporated elements of Madchester and shoegaze. They subsequently released "Modern Life Is Rubbish" (1993), "Parklife" (1994), and "The Great Escape" (1995), establishing themselves as leading figures in the Britpop movement. Throughout their career, they have won five Brit Awards, including Outstanding Contribution to Music in 2012. After a hiatus, they released "The Magic Whip" in 2015 and "The Ballad of Darren" in 2023.
