Bobby "Boris" Pickett was an American singer and comedian, best known for his 1962 hit "Monster Mash," which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song was part of his only album, "The Original Monster Mash." Pickett was renowned for his impersonations of horror actors like Boris Karloff and Bela Lugosi. He collaborated with producer Gary S. Paxton and pianist Leon Russell. Although "Monster Mash" remains his most famous work, Pickett continued to create music and perform until his death in 2007.
