Bootsy's Rubber Band was an American funk group led by bassist Bootsy Collins. Formed in 1976, the band was known for its contributions to the P-Funk movement. Their most notable albums include "Ahh... The Name Is Bootsy, Baby!" (1977) and "Bootsy? Player of the Year" (1978), both achieving gold status in the United States. Their music blended funk with psychedelic elements and was characterized by a distinctive bass sound. The band closely collaborated with George Clinton and other members of Parliament-Funkadelic.
