Braids is a Canadian art rock band originating from Calgary, Alberta, later relocating to Montreal, Quebec. Formed in 2006, the current lineup consists of Raphaelle Standell-Preston, Austin Tufts, and Taylor Smith. Their debut album, "Native Speaker," was released in January 2011 and was shortlisted for the Polaris Music Prize. Subsequent albums include "Flourish // Perish" (2013), "Deep in the Iris" (2015), which won the Juno Award for Alternative Album of the Year, "Shadow Offering" (2020), and "Euphoric Recall" (2023).
