Brìghde Chaimbeul is a Scottish composer and smallpipes player from the Isle of Skye. Her music blends traditional Scottish melodies with experimental elements and drone textures. Her debut album, "The Reeling," received acclaim for its innovative approach to traditional music. The second album, "Carry Them With Us," features collaboration with Canadian saxophonist Colin Stetson. The third album, "Sunwise," continues exploring traditional melodies and experimental soundscapes. Chaimbeul has performed at festivals such as Big Ears in the USA and Le Guess Who? in the Netherlands. Her work has contributed to the revival of Scottish smallpipes and earned awards like the BBC Young Folk Award.
