Brutal Truth was an American grindcore band formed in 1990 in New York City by bassist Dan Lilker, formerly of Anthrax and Nuclear Assault. Their debut album, "Extreme Conditions Demand Extreme Responses," released in 1992, is considered a seminal work in the grindcore genre. The band released several more albums, including "Need to Control" (1994) and "Sounds of the Animal Kingdom" (1997). After disbanding in 1999, they reunited in 2006 and continued until 2014.
