Buddy Clark was an American singer popular in the 1930s and 1940s. Born as Samuel Goldberg in Dorchester, Massachusetts, he began his career in 1934 with Benny Goodman on the "Let's Dance" radio program. In 1946, he signed with Columbia Records and achieved his biggest hit with "Linda." Other notable songs include "How Are Things in Glocca Morra?", "Peg O' My Heart," and "Love Somebody" (a duet with Doris Day). Clark tragically died in a plane crash in 1949 at the age of 37.
