In 2016, he changed his stage name to Car, the Garden, a literal translation of his name ("cha" meaning "car" and "jung-won" meaning "garden"). His music blends elements of K-pop, indie pop, and alternative rock. Notable albums include "Photographer" (2015), "Absence" (2021), and "Harmony" (2023). In December 2025, he released the EP "Blue Heart". Car, the Garden is also known for his performances during North American tours and appearances on various entertainment programs.
