cd - Castle Farm
Castle Farm was a British band from the early 1970s with a powerful, guitar-based hard-rock-blues sound incorporating elements of glam and proto-metal. Originally a four-piece, they later added guitarist John Aldrich, creating a dynamic dual-guitar sound. With a solid rhythm section and Denny Newman's strong vocals, the band performed at universities and colleges across England, supporting major acts like Rory Gallagher, Deep Purple, and Atomic Rooster. In 1972, they privately pressed the single "Hot-Rod Queen" b/w "Mascot" on their own label, Farm Records. In 2025, their 1971-72 studio recordings were released on the album "The Studio Sessions 1971-72".
