Castle Rat is a medieval fantasy doom metal band from New York, led by "The Rat Queen" Riley Pinkerton on rhythm guitar and lead vocals. Formed in October 2019, the band includes "The Count" Franco Vittore on lead guitar, "The Plague Doctor" Charley Ruddell on bass, and "The All-Seeing Druid" Joshua Strmic on drums. Their debut album, "Into The Realm," was released in April 2024 and garnered over one million streams on Spotify. In September 2025, they plan to release their second album, "The Bestiary." The band is known for their live performances featuring costumes and choreography, including staged battle scenes.
