Charlie Rouse was an American jazz saxophonist known for his long-term collaboration with Thelonious Monk. In 1974, he released the album "Two Is One" on the Strata-East label, blending jazz with elements of funk, soul, and fusion. The album features tracks like "Bitchin'", "Hopscotch", and the title track "Two Is One". Rouse collaborated with guitarists George Davis and Paul Metzke, cellist Cal Scott, and bassist Stanley Clarke on this project. The album was reissued in 2025 by Mack Avenue.
