Cheb Kader, born Kouider Morabet in 1966 in Oran, Algeria to Moroccan parents, is a pioneer of raï music. In 1986, he released his first album "Reggae-Raï," the first fusion of raï with other music genres. His eponymous 1988 album achieved international success and was distributed worldwide. In 1991, he released the album "Generation Raï." Cheb Kader is known for his unique style that blends traditional raï with elements of funk, rock, and reggae, influencing an entire generation of raï singers.
