Chimaira is an American heavy metal band from Cleveland, Ohio, formed in August 1998. Their debut album, "Pass Out of Existence," was released in 2001 and features a nu metal sound with significant electronic elements. Subsequent albums, such as "The Impossibility of Reason" (2003) and "Chimaira" (2005), shifted towards groove metal and metalcore. The band underwent several lineup changes, with vocalist Mark Hunter remaining the only constant member. After disbanding in 2014, Chimaira reunited in 2017 and 2023 with most of the original members. The products available from the artist Chimaira include vinyls.
