Cocoa Tea, born Colvin George Scott, was a Jamaican reggae singer and songwriter. He was born on September 3, 1959, in Rocky Point, Clarendon, Jamaica. He began his music career in 1974 and became one of the leading reggae artists from the 1980s onwards. His notable albums include "Rocking Dolly" (1984), "Rikers Island" (1991), and "Good Life" (1994). He was known for his contributions to the roots reggae and lovers rock genres. He collaborated with artists such as Shabba Ranks and Barrington Levy. He passed away on March 11, 2025, at the age of 65.
