Cosmic Putrefaction is an Italian music project founded by multi-instrumentalist Gabriele Gramaglia in 2018. The project focuses on death metal with elements of progressive metal and symphonic black metal. Their debut album, "At the Threshold of the Greatest Chasm," was released in 2019, followed by "The Horizons Towards Which Splendour Withers" in 2020 and "Crepuscular Dirge for the Blessed Ones" in 2022. The latest album, "Emerald Fires Atop the Farewell Mountains," was released on October 4, 2024. Gramaglia collaborated with drummer Giulio Galati (ex-Hideous Divinity, Nero di Marte) on several albums. Cosmic Putrefaction's music is known for its atmospheric and complex compositions.
