Creed is an American rock band formed in 1994 in Tallahassee, Florida. The original lineup consisted of vocalist Scott Stapp, guitarist Mark Tremonti, bassist Brian Marshall, and drummer Scott Phillips. Their 1997 debut album, "My Own Prison," achieved multi-platinum status, with all four singles reaching number one on the Billboard Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. The 1999 follow-up, "Human Clay," featured the hit "With Arms Wide Open," which won the Grammy Award for Best Rock Song in 2001. Their third album, "Weathered" (2001), debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and included singles like "My Sacrifice" and "One Last Breath." The band disbanded in 2004, reunited in 2009 to release "Full Circle," and after another hiatus, reunited again in 2023, announcing tours for 2024 and 2025.
