Cro-Mags is an American hardcore punk band from New York City, formed in 1981. They are considered pioneers of crossover thrash, blending hardcore punk with thrash metal. Their 1986 debut album, "The Age of Quarrel," is regarded as a genre classic. Subsequent albums like "Best Wishes" (1989) and "Alpha Omega" (1992) expanded their musical range. The band has undergone several lineup changes, with founding member Harley Flanagan remaining a key figure. Cro-Mags have influenced numerous bands in the hardcore and metal scenes.
