Cut Copy is an Australian synth-pop band formed in 2001 in Melbourne. The group consists of Dan Whitford (vocals, keyboards, guitar), Tim Hoey (guitar), Ben Browning (bass guitar), and Mitchell Scott (drums). Their second album, "In Ghost Colours" (2008), reached number one on the Australian charts and included singles "Lights & Music" and "Hearts on Fire". Subsequent albums "Zonoscope" (2011) and "Free Your Mind" (2013) solidified their international presence. The band is known for its unique blend of synth-pop, indietronica, and dance-punk.
