Czesław Niemen was a Polish singer, composer, and multi-instrumentalist. He began his career with the band Niebiesko-Czarni and later led his own groups, including Akwarele, Enigmatic, and Grupa Niemen. Notable albums include "Dziwny jest ten świat" (1967) and "Enigmatic" (1970). His music spanned genres from pop to progressive rock and electronic music. He collaborated with jazz musicians such as Michał Urbaniak and Zbigniew Namysłowski. Niemen was among the first Polish artists to extensively use electronic instruments.
