D&V was a duo from Sheffield, consisting of Andy Leach on drums and Jef Antcliffe on vocals. They released their first EP, 'The Nearest Door', on Crass Records, produced by Penny Rimbaud. Their musical simplicity was combined with uncompromising avant-gardism. In 1984, they released a second album, 'Inspiration Gave Them Motivation To Move On Out Of Their Isolation', featuring additional vocals by Crass members Eve Libertine and Joy de Vivre. Their music was a precursor to rap, with rhythmic and vocal elements reflecting their fierce rhetoric. The products available from the artist D&V include vinyls.
