Dark Angel is an American thrash metal band from Downey, California, formed in 1981. The current lineup includes drummer Gene Hoglan, guitarists Eric Meyer and Laura Christine, vocalist Ron Rinehart, and bassist Mike Gonzalez. The band has released four studio albums: "We Have Arrived" (1985), "Darkness Descends" (1986), "Leave Scars" (1989), and "Time Does Not Heal" (1991). They plan to release their fifth album, "Extinction Level Event," in 2025. Dark Angel is known for their fast and technical style, which has influenced death metal and groove metal.
