Death from Above 1979 is a Canadian rock duo from Toronto, consisting of bassist Jesse F. Keeler and drummer-vocalist Sebastien Grainger. Formed in 2001, they released their debut album, "You're a Woman, I'm a Machine," in 2004. After disbanding in 2006, they reunited in 2011 and subsequently released "The Physical World" (2014), "Outrage! Is Now" (2017), and "Is 4 Lovers" (2021). Their music is often categorized as dance-punk and noise rock. Throughout their career, they have collaborated with bands such as Nine Inch Nails and Queens of the Stone Age.
