Defects is a British metal band that released their debut album, "Modern Error," on May 24, 2024, through Mascot Records. The album is deeply personal, serving as a means for vocalist Tony Maue to process childhood trauma from being placed into care. Musically, the album combines the aggression and heaviness of bands like Lamb Of God and Machine Head with melodies reminiscent of Linkin Park and the boldness of Bring Me The Horizon. Defects have performed at festivals such as Download (UK), Graspop (BE), Rockharz (DE), and Rock The Lakes (CH).
