Demilich is a Finnish death metal band formed in 1990 in Kuopio. Their sole studio album, "Nespithe" (1993), is renowned for its technically complex riffs and extremely low guttural vocals. The album features lengthy and intricate song titles and unconventional lyrics, which were encoded in the booklet. After disbanding shortly after the album's release, the band reunited several times for live performances and, in 2014, released the compilation "20th Adversary of Emptiness," encompassing all their recordings, including demos and three tracks from 2006. Demilich is considered a pioneer of technical death metal.
