Den Saakaldte is a Norwegian black metal band founded in 2006 by guitarist Mikael Sykelig after relocating from Greece to Norway. Initially a solo project, it soon expanded to include members from bands such as Shining, 1349, and Dødheimsgard. Their debut album, "Øl, Mørke og Depresjon," was released in 2008, followed by "All Hail Pessimism" in 2009 and "Kapittel II: Faen i Helvete" in 2014. After a nine-year hiatus, they released "Pesten Som Tar Over" in 2023. The band is known for its contribution to the Norwegian black metal scene and collaborations with prominent artists in the genre.
