Dennis Alcapone, born Dennis Smith, is a Jamaican reggae DJ and producer. In 1969, he founded the El Paso sound system, which quickly gained popularity. His debut album, "Forever Version," was released in 1971 under the Studio One label. Throughout his career, he collaborated with producers such as Keith Hudson, Coxsone Dodd, and Duke Reid. Between 1970 and 1973, he released over 100 singles and three albums. In 1972, he was named Best DJ by Swing magazine.
