Desert Sessions is a musical collective founded in 1997 by Josh Homme in Palm Desert, California. The project is renowned for its improvisational recording sessions at Rancho De La Luna studio, featuring various musicians from diverse genres. Notable contributors include Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top), Les Claypool (Primus), and PJ Harvey. Their discography comprises twelve volumes, with the latest, Volumes 11 & 12, released in 2019 after a 16-year hiatus.
