Dick de Graaf is a Dutch jazz saxophonist and flutist, born on November 17, 1954, in Nijkerk. During his linguistics studies, he switched to tenor saxophone and later studied at the Rotterdam Conservatory. Throughout his career, he collaborated with artists such as Chet Baker, Han Bennink, and Misha Mengelberg. His notable albums include "Sailing" (1995), "Schubert Impressions for Jazz Quintet" (2003), and "Four Winds" (2008). De Graaf is known for his ability to blend jazz with various musical styles and cultures. Since 1989, he has been teaching at the Rotterdam Conservatory.
