Dick Morrissey was a British jazz saxophonist and flautist known for his work in jazz and jazz-rock. In the 1960s, he formed the Dick Morrissey Quartet, releasing albums such as "Here and Now and Sounding Good" and "Storm Warning!". Later, he collaborated with guitarist Jim Mullen in the duo Morrissey-Mullen, blending jazz with funk and rock elements. Morrissey also worked with artists like Brian Auger and Georgie Fame. His contribution to the British jazz scene was significant, with his tenor saxophone playing being highly regarded.
